Our small groups meet twice a week, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons for 12 weeks. Our next cohort begins at the end of August and ends the week before Thanksgiving.

Real growth doesn't happen in two tutoring sessions.
That's why The Story Circle operates in 12-week literacy cohorts.
Over three months, students receive consistent, structured instruction that allows skills to build week after week.
No random tutoring sessions.
No guessing.
Just intentional progress.
During each 12-week session students receive:

I’m ready for the story circle!
The Story Circle is a small-group, structured literacy program designed to strengthen foundational reading and writing skills through explicit, phonics-based instruction.
Each session focuses on decoding, spelling patterns, fluency, and comprehension using a multi-sensory approach that meets children where they are and builds skill step by step. It’s intentional, research-aligned work that helps kids become confident, capable readers and writers.
This is a private literacy program and is not affiliated with the library or school district. Program Structure: 12-week instruction from the last week of August to November.
Small group learning - Interactive literacy. Location: Cesar Chavez Library/Prickly Pear Library. Tutoring days take place Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
*I understand that The Story Circle runs 12 weeks; in order to participate, I am committing to payment for those 3 months.
A 3-month commitment is required.
Traditional Afterschool Program: $180 per month, $540 total.
Homeschool Mornings: $185 per month, $555 total. We accept ESA.
Payment is required to secure your spot. Option to pay either first month or in full amount.
Curriculum and supplies will be provided by Mrs. Brands.
